Shakespeare published 154 sonnets in his quarto in 1609. While the initial 126 are addressed to a young man, the final 28 are directed toward an enigmatic woman referred to as the dark lady.

The Battle

The battle’s almost over
Pain will be the victor
Body growing tired
Age assisting pain

Fought a fight worth fighting
Life lived in agony
Now what lay ahead
More pain more fight not me

Morning rise in misery
Lunchtime brings the same
Dinner left uneaten
Pain has won again

    I am sorry to hear this. Sending also good vibes to all suffering on any pain. After 25 years i got freed from Heliobacter pylori which was undiscovered so long, and had bullied me in any occasion. Best wishes, Michael
