Empty Responses

Days filled
with waiting
Nights hold only
dread

Weeks slip into eternity
Months flip by
with waning
curiosity

Time heals all things
distance provides
Gratuitous bouts of
indifference

I remain unhealed
in time and all things
Indifference breeds
non-sustainability

    1. Ditto on that, but mine is my son. Although this was not written with that situation in mind, I hope this eased your hurt a little – knowing there are many of us out here suffering the same fate! 💜
