
One Word Challenge – Killer
He waited. Around the corner, crouched low, listening. He could hear her footsteps, further away at first; growing louder with the molasses of time.
Closer now. He could smell her soft scent up ahead, hear her knees crackle as she straightened, see the scuffed white leather of her running shoes.
Nearly there, a little closer. Just beneath the light, there, there, yes!!
“Come on Killer! Let’s go boy! Time to go home!” The woman called the big, loping dog to her side.
