Perhaps, although the human brain has the capacity to “eventually” learn and retain so much more …. If ever we can as a species, let go of ego and concentrate on the betterment of our kind – instead of the destruction of self.

I believe they retain memories or partial images even if they do not recognize what they are seeing. I hope they are warm memories and not too painful. 🙏
