Little seed I planted deep
in
the
ground
Spreading water all around
will
you
grow
Up strong and so tall

Or will you stay snug
wrapped in
your soil
covered rug
To stay little and small
becoming
nothing
at all

Beautiful. My little one but a sunflower home from nursery and did a good job watering it and nurturing it, it was lovely to see. KL ❤

We always grow sunflowers in our tiny postage-stamp front yard, but this year … the squirrels dug up all our seeds! We feed the little guys peanuts every morning on the back patio, but they are ingrates and ruined our tiny garden! Sigh. I’m glad you had better luck with yours!
