I passed by the antique shop every day, never entering the crowded menagerie of over-used items leftover from the past.

This day was different. The compulsion to go inside so strong, my feet turned toward the shop. I found myself standing inside, surrounded by mounds of aged household paraphernalia.

A tiny woman pressed a green wooden clock into my hands, saying this was what I was looking for.

Warmth enveloped me. Memories flooded my mind. I wished I could turn back time and make things right.

I reached for the hour hand and slowly began to turn it backward.

Gypsie, I thought about picking out one of the items in this and writing a story around it. I like what you did with that object. Also, I can relate to being “called” to go somewhere.
