Silly Rabbit

In response to
bushboy’s Ragtag Daily Prompt –
Thursday word: Vitiated

My flowers have bloomed
there’s barely any room
so full and luscious they are

After watering them last night
I wound the hose up tight
slipped into my bed to sleep

Bright morning had come
a warm summer day sun
to go out and enjoy my new buds

Oh horror and dismay
to find my garden in disarray
not a single flower bud in sight

My garden’s abominated
each stem and bud vitiated
a silly rabbit the one to blame

  2. Gave me a giggle – we have dozens of rabbits this year. Our oldest Goldendoodle loves to chase them (and brought home a dead baby last month). But the only thing in our yard they seem to like (besides the clover in our grass & weeds all over our pasture) are my hostas.

    1. This rabbit is huge and should be, he/she has decimated several large flower bushes! Sadly, my dogs are in the fence in back and big bunny is smart enough not to go back there!

      1. Our bunnies are everywhere, front yard, back yard, and fenced pasture. Hubby brought the boys back from grooming late yesterday and they usually go directly into the garage. Nope, Cooper (the bunny hunter) sited one and took off into the woods. He won’t listen to any commands when he is focused on rabbits. Once he lost it, he turned around and trotted back home, like he’d done nothing.

  4. Rabbits and garden are not a good mix. I have Wallabies and Bandicoots to create mischief here.
Thanks for joining in 🙂 🙂
