Fringe

Out on the fringe
hanging still
very quiet

A tempest wind
blows through
fringe dances in the breeze

Too soon the wind
goes away and
fringe returns to stillness

I would love to sit at the beach like this, right now!

Thank you Sadje … a week ago I sliced two fingers of my right hand badly, using my new kitchen device to slice potatoes. (A mandolin-manual slicer.) Spent several hours in the emergency room and now have my middle and ring finger bandaged to the hilt and beyond, so typing (and everything else) is somewhat difficult. I have been reading all the lovely posts still! Thank you for asking my friend. Hope all is well with you. 🤗

I love that each stanza makes sense independently of the others, but together the poem tells a story with past, present and future. Bravo!
