Our Place

In response to the picture prompt above provided by Rochelle

There is a small place
all off on it’s own
A shack to anyone else
but to us it’s a home

I cook and I clean
I read and I write
I wait for your visit
when the time is right

From the moment you arrive
until the moment you leave
This little house we are in
is ours if only make-believe

It’s here I’ll be each day and night
in this little house where I will stay
Reading and writing and waiting
for you until the fateful day that I die

So much longing in these sweet verses. Nicely done.
